Pastures & Grazing NSW (previously The Grassland Society of NSW) was formed in March 1985 at a meeting of 28 interested people. Membership has grown rapidly since then, most of whom are farmers and graziers. Pastures & Grazing NSW is the premier organisation for transfer of information and technology relevant to pasture, grazing and land management. Its aims are to advance the investigation of problems affecting grassland husbandry and to encourage the adoption into practice of results of research and practical experience.

Improved Pasture in the Northern Tablelands

Pastures & Grazing NSW holds a major two-day conference each 2 years to promote grassland farming and research, publishes a quarterly newsletter and runs a number of field days, seminars and other activities through the regional branch network. Papers from the First NSW Grassland Society Conference held in 1986 and onwards, except for the current year are available online to members and non-members (open access) for downloading. Online papers from the current year (September to September) are only available online to members.
