You will have noticed some changes to the website as we go about upgrading and improving the site for members and visitors. Some of the changes already implemented are cosmetic only while other ideas are more substantial and require some strategic planning by the committee.
So we’re looking for feedback from members as to how the website can be improved and what kind of information/features you are looking for here. There is a comments form/button below so please feel free to contribute your ideas here or email them direct to admin@grasslandnsw.com.au
Basically we’re looking for the Grassland NSW website to:
- have a fresh and modern look
- provide services to Society members (membership/conference information, etc)
- publish relevant information on grassland/pasture management
- publicise upcoming events
We welcome your ideas on how to best achieve these objectives so look forward to hearing your comments.
It has been suggested that the contact details for members of the NSW Grassland Society committee be published on the website so that they can be readily contacted.
A new page has now been added to the website for this purpose. Please see the Society Contacts page – use the link here or the page link on the left hand menu or at the bottom of the Home page.
If you have any query, use the Contact list to find the appropriate Committee member. Choose from the quick list on the page or download the full list which contains email addresses and alternative phone/fax numbers.
Life members of the Society are also acknowledged on this page.
The travel grant application form is now online for interested members to apply for this funding opportunity.
Travel grant applications should be submitted by November using the form provided. Please see the Travel Grant page for more information and a link to download the form.

Good luck.
Since we had such a catastrophic website crash, I decided to take the opportunity to totally move over to the WordPress platform for the Grasslands website. This has a number of advantages, not least being removing the confusion over what information is on the original part of the website and what is on the new blog part.
This new system will allow committee members to post messages and keep all information in one central place. Most of the archived information has been backed up and will be restored over the next day or so and newsletters and conference proceedings will be available from then.
I apologise for this problem – we had some server problems which caused a larger crash than we had planned for. However, since it has prompted me to tidy up some of the old loose end, I guess we can call it a blessing in disguise. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
cheers Leah Lane (web admin).
Sorry for the interruption – we had some major website issues and there is still some rebuilding to do but I’m working to get it back up as quickly as I can.
